Master Rick Harsche is an Internationally certified 5th Degree Black Belt Master and certified Instructor in the World Tang Soo Do Association under the instruction of Grandmaster Jae Chul Shin and Grandmaster Robert Beaudoin as well as being the Director of the Region #8 Leadership class and Region #8 Director for the Association for many years. Master Harsche is also a certified international judge and has been training for over 29 years and instructing for at least 27 of those years.
He enjoyed being able to train with his son Ryan who is a 2nd degree black belt, his other son Brad, a 2nd Degree black belt and his niece Beth a 4th degree Master. They all belong to the World Tang Soo Do Association. As an instructor, Master Harsche enjoys teaching others to excel in the martial arts. He is a graduate of the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering as well as a Masters degree in Finance. In addition to enjoying the martial arts, he is also a professional pilot, Certified Flight Instructor and enjoys golfing and having fun with power sports.
Master Harsche started his martial arts career under the instruction of his first instructor, Master Frank Trojanowicz and then further trained under Master George Conrad. He has the unique pleasure to say he has trained under many Master instructors of the World Tang Soo Do Association as he travels to many clinics, instructed by a variety of these masters including attending a yearly masters Clinic in Alabama, USA which includes masters from as many as 34 countries coming from all over the world. He is fortunate enough to have the opportunity to train directly under Grandmaster Shin for many years. He has also traveled to many different countries to teach, including UK, Sweden, Argentina and many states in the USA.
Master Harsche has built an impressive tournament record including a 3 time Regional Grand Championship Cup winner and numerous Regional championships including many Grand Championship Cups for regional tournaments such as the Red Rose Championship, Vaughn’s Winter Championship, East Coast Championship and Central PA Championship as well as many gold medals in sparring, forms and weapons while competing in several World Championships. He now dedicates his time to training future leaders and black belts to become all they can be in martial arts and in any other area of their lives.

Additionally Master Harsche was inducted into the "Philadelphia Historic Martial Arts Society HALL OF FAME" IN 2017.
